The 2013 Air Jordan Retro 1 High OG "Black Toe" was the first retro reissue of the 1985 OG colorway. The sneaker gained its iconic status when Jordan paired it with a black and red Jordan Flight Suit for a Nike Air photo shoot, which inspired the Jumpman logo. The 2013 retro version stays true to the original design with a white, red and black colorway on the toe box and Nike Air branding. However, this version and the 2016 retro have replaced the black tongues and red Nike Air branding with white tongues with black Nike Air branding.
