Nike Vandal sneakers were first seen on screen in the first part of "The Terminator" in 1984.  Initially, Nike wanted Kyle Reese to have completely different sneakers on his feet - Nike Air Force 1. However, the producers of the film understood how important it was for Terminator fans to see the "original" model, so they defended the decision of their costume designers, and we saw again Nike Vandal in the second part of the action movie.
